Many who visit Best Thai Movies will be people around the world who have visited Thailand and who maintain a special interest in this country.
It is quite likely you have wondered whether there is some charity you could help a little.
For instance, at the Santisuk Foundation you can provide an educational scholarship for a child, which provides school uniforms & books plus a mid day meal for around $200 per year. Imagine that burden being lifted from poor parents, who may need to feed a number of children.
The educational scholarship fee you contribute goes 100% to the benefit of the child you support. Your $200 educational scholarship is all you pay throughout the year, unless you ask Santisuk to provide your child with some money for a birthday - (whatever).
The children and parents are visited at home each month, to ensure the children have the best nurturing home-life, possible, given their situation. In addition, the children are visited at school.
Educational scholarship sponsors are supplied with school reports, progress reports and sometimes drawings and cards made by the child you support.
The foundation also provides long day child care for the children of poor parents who both need to work.
Santisuk not only works in Klongtoey, but in more distant provinces around Bangkok.
Though a Thai organisation, Santisuk working for children, Santisuk does not receive government funding.
I support this Thai, Christian foundation, and having visited it several times, recommend it strongly. I would be happy to answer any questions about sponsorship, or it's work.

Another good foundation is the Duang Prateep Foundation, which does similar work.
